14.9 Policy Publication:<br />

This policy will be disseminated annually to all school staff,<br />

pupils, parent(s) or legal guardian(s), along with a statement<br />

explaining that the policy applies to all acts of harassment,<br />

intimidation and bullying that occur on school property, at<br />

school-sponsored functions or on a school bus.<br />

The Principals shall develop a process to discuss the District’s<br />

policy on harassment, intimidation and bullying with pupils on<br />

an annual basis.<br />

15.0 Integrated Pest Management Policy<br />

15.1 Operation and Maintenance of Plant<br />

The board of education is responsible for providing school<br />

facilities that are safe from hazards; sanitary; properly<br />

equipped, lighted and ventilated; and aesthetically suited to<br />

promoting the goals of the <strong>district</strong>. School buildings and site<br />

accommodations shall include provisions for individuals with<br />

disabilities pursuant to law and regulations. The chief school<br />

administrator or designee shall develop and enforce detailed<br />

regulations for the safe and sanitary operation of the buildings<br />

and grounds. The regulations shall be reviewed and adopted<br />

by the board, and explained to all staff annually at the<br />

beginning of each school year and when any changes are<br />

made. The chief school administrator and board secretary<br />

shall develop a multiyear comprehensive maintenance plan for<br />

board approval, to be updated annually. Please refer to Board<br />

16.0 <strong>Vocational</strong>-Technical Education<br />

16.1 Safety Regulations<br />

a) A clean work area is essential in all<br />

shops/classrooms.<br />

b) Report all accidents to your teacher. The school<br />

nurse must examine all injuries-no exceptions.<br />

c) Fire drills are conducted at least once per month.<br />

Safety/lockdown drills are conducted monthly or as<br />

needed. Listen to your teacher and follow the<br />

evacuation plan posted.<br />

d) Use safety equipment as required, including safety<br />

glasses, aprons, or other required safety<br />

essentials.
