1.24 Working Papers<br />

All <strong>student</strong>s between the ages of fourteen and eighteen must<br />

have working papers to be employed. Students must have a<br />

promise of employment before they can obtain working papers<br />

from their counselor. The <strong>student</strong>’s primary care provider or<br />

other licensed physician must complete the Physician<br />

certificate section.<br />

1.25 Admissions<br />

The Board of Education guarantees admission regardless of<br />

race, color, age, creed, religion, sex, ancestry, national origin,<br />

social or economic status, marital status, or handicap provided<br />

the <strong>student</strong> meets the admission standard.<br />

1.26 Affirmative Action<br />

The Board of Education guarantees equal education and<br />

employment opportunity to all, regardless of race, color, age,<br />

creed, religion, sex, ancestry, national origin, social or<br />

economic status, marital status, or handicap.<br />

1.27 Affirmative Action Officer/<br />

Title IX Coordinator<br />

The Board designates a member of the staff as the Affirmative<br />

Action Officer (AAO) and implements the <strong>district</strong>’s efforts to<br />

comply with law and code. The AAO will conduct systematic<br />

monitoring and submit an annual report of progress regarding<br />

affirmative actions plans and programs and report to the Board<br />

3.1 School Nurse<br />

Laws in New Jersey protect the privacy of health information.<br />

The nurse is not permitted to notify a <strong>student</strong>’s teachers about<br />

health conditions without the written permission of the<br />

parent/guardian each year. Board of Education employees<br />

shall not be responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of<br />

<strong>student</strong> illness. When unforeseen situations arise and an<br />

accident occurs, a school nurse will be responsible for
