Palm Beach Atlantic’s Kenny Hogg Headlines<br />

<strong>Daktronics</strong> NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer <strong>All</strong>-<strong>America</strong> Team<br />

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Junior forward Kenny Hogg of Palm Beach Atlantic (Fla.) University headlines the<br />

2012 <strong>Daktronics</strong> NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer <strong>All</strong>-<strong>America</strong> First Team as the Ron Lenz National Player of<br />

the Year.<br />

Hogg, of Irvine, Scotland, guided Palm Beach Atlantic to a 15-3-1 record. The South Region Player of the Year<br />

leads NCAA Division II players with 28 goals and 59 points. He was also named the Player of the Year in the<br />

Independent Collegiate Athletic Association.<br />

Lynn (Fla.) University placed two players on the first team. Junior goalkeeper Matt DiCerbo and sophomore<br />

defender Jason <strong>San</strong>gha carried Lynn to the national semifinals in Evans, Ga. DiCerbo ranks second among<br />

Division II keepers with a 0.41 goals against average. <strong>San</strong>gha was a third team <strong>All</strong>-<strong>America</strong>n selection in 2011.<br />

Junior Tesho Akindele of Colorado School of Mines repeats as a first team forward. Akindele ranks second in<br />

Division II with 22 goals and 50 points. Junior Mario Pinto of Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.) University and senior<br />

Saeed Robinson of Grand Canyon (Ariz.) University round out the first team forwards. Pinto posted 21 goals<br />

and 47 points, while Robinson recorded 18 goals and 42 points.<br />

The four first team midfielders combined for 61 goals and 31 assists. Junior Marco Likos of Nyack (N.Y.)<br />

University topped the foursome with 18 goals and 44 points. The rest of the group consists of junior Vincent<br />

Bailey of the University of Incarnate Word (Texas), junior Matthew Brown of West Virginia Wesleyan<br />

University and senior Bo White of Northeastern State (Okla.) University.<br />

Senior Matt Besuschko of national semifinalist Simon Fraser (B.C.) University headlines the first team<br />

defenders. The remaining first team defenders are senior Colin Bjostad of West Texas A&M University and<br />

senior Taylor Diem of Regis (Colo.) University.<br />

Sports information directors from NCAA Division II schools and conferences sponsoring men’s soccer selected<br />

the <strong>Daktronics</strong> <strong>All</strong>-<strong>America</strong> <strong>teams</strong>. The process begins at the regional level with all first team <strong>All</strong>-Region picks<br />

advancing to the national ballot. This is the seventh year <strong>Daktronics</strong> has sponsored the NCAA Division II men’s<br />

soccer <strong>All</strong>-<strong>America</strong> and <strong>All</strong>-Region <strong>teams</strong>. A total of 60 student-athletes representing 38 different institutions<br />

filled out the three <strong>teams</strong> and honorable mention selections. Tyler Lobe and Brandon Bronzan of the Sonoma<br />

State (Calif.) University Sports Information office assisted in the voting process.<br />

The team is sponsored by <strong>Daktronics</strong>, Inc., recognized worldwide in its industry as the leading designer and<br />

manufacturer of electronic scoreboards, programmable display systems, and large screen video displays using<br />

light emitting diode (LED) technology. The team is voted on by the members of the College Sports Information<br />

Directors of <strong>America</strong> (CoSIDA).<br />
