SECTION 20 - PROPRIETARY PARTITIONS
20.1 OVERVIEW
Referto section O, General rules, which shall be read in conjunction with this section.
20.2 PREAMBLES
20.2.1
Particulars shall be given of performance qualities required (e.g., Sound Rating, Fire
Rating, Impact Testing, Loads etc).
20.3 GENERAL PRINCIPLES
20.3.1
This section covers proprietary metal framed, flush finish or demountable partitions
and off ice screens.
20.3.2
All work normally carried out or arranged by proprietary partition firms shall be
included in this section of the schedule.
20.3.3
Partitions shall be described in accordance with the manufacturer's catalogue and/
or as defined by the drawings and specifications.
20.3.4
Each type of partition shall be scheduled separately under a heading which gives the
general description, height, thickness and any performance specifications to be met.
20.3.5
The description shall state whether flush stopped finish or demountable.
20.3.6
Curved walls shall be scheduled separately.
20.4 MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE

20.4.1
Partitions shall be measured in metres.
20.4.2
The following shall be described and enumerated as extra value:
(a)
(b)
Wall starters;
Intersections and corners;
(c)
(d)
(e)
Fair ends:
Doors and door frames;
Isolated borrowed lights.
20.4.3
Hardware shall be scheduled in accordance with clause 17.4.1 2.
