12.4.24
Brickworkinchimneys, uptoflue level, shall be measuredseparatelyand enumerated.

Brickwork in chimney flues shall be measured separately and measured in metres.
The number of flues and their sizes shall be stated.
12.4.26
Flue liners shall be measured in metres, with the diameter or size stated. The
description shall include fillings and settings.
12.4.27
Parging to flues shall be measured in metres stating the size of the flue.
12.4.28
Firebrick linings shall be measured in square metres and the thickness shall be
stated. The description shall include any reference to overhand work, arched work,
limited lifts, bonding to backings, and the like. Irregular angles shall be measured in
metres.
12.4.29
Boiler seatings and the like shall be described and enumerated stating the size.
12.4.30
Fire surrounds, hearths, hobs, fire bricks, and the like shall be described and
enumerated.
12.4.31
The forming or cutting of ducts, chases and the like shall be measured in metres and
the size shall be stated.
12.4.32
Raking out for flashings shall be measured in metres; that for stepped flashings shall
be measured separately.
12.4.33
Holes for pipes, conduits, electrical boxes and the like shall be enumerated. The
description shall include the thickness of brickwork and the finish to both sides of the
brickwork.
12.4.34
Air bricks and the like shall be described and enumerated. The thickness of the wall
into which they are built shall be stated.
