12.3.6
Brickwork shall be scheduled separately for:
Solid walls;
Cavity walls;
Veneer walls;
Isolated piers;
Reinforced brickwork;
Brick damp-proof course:
Paving;
C h im neys;
Refractory linings and flues.
12.4 MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE
12.4.1
Each skin of brickwork in cavity walls shall be measured and so stated.
12.4.2
Forming cavity including ties shall be described and measured in square metres
stating the material to which ties are fixed.
12.4.3
Deductions shall be made for all openings having an area of 0.2 m2 and over.
12.4.4
Surface treatments shall be measured separately in square metres.
12.4.5
Forming of external and internal angles shall each be measured separately in metres
and the description shall include any special bricks or work involved.
12.4.6
Pointing to grooves, chases, frames and the like shall be measured in metres.
12.4.7
Metal bonding shall be measured in metres.
12.4.8
Forming of rebated reveals shall be measured in metres.
12.4.9
Damp-proof coursing for brickwork shall be measured in metres. The widths and
thicknesses shall be stated.
12.4.10
Raking cutting and cutting and bedding to beams and the like shall be measured in
metres.
