5.4.1 O<br />
Piles which are driven close together shall be enumerated separately from piles<br />
which are driven out of contact with one another and the type and mass of shoe and<br />
type of interlock, if any, shall be described.<br />
5.4.1 1<br />
Shoeing and pointing of timber piles shall be enumerated, and the mass of the shoes<br />
and the size of the pile shall be stated.<br />
5.4.1 2<br />
Trimming of tops of timber piles and ringing with steel bands shall be enumerated.<br />
5.4.13 Sheet piling<br />
5.4.1 3.1<br />
Steel sheet piling shall be measured in metres and the cross section shall be stated.<br />
If no section is specified the area of the sheet piling shall be measured. It shall also<br />
be stated whether the sheet piling is to be left in or drawn. Timber sheet piling shall<br />
be measured in square metres and the average depth stated.<br />
5.4.1 3.2<br />
Corner and junction piles and the like to sheet piling shall be measured in metres as<br />
separate items. Cutting or burning through steel sheet piling shall be measured in<br />
metres as extra value.<br />
