2.3.6<br />
Demolition work involving specific sub-trade work may be scheduled separately in<br />
the relevant section of the schedule and this shall be stated.<br />
2.3.7<br />
Items to be removed and which are required to be set aside for salvage or refixing<br />
shall be so described.<br />
2.3.8<br />
Making good shall be described and measured.<br />
2.4 MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE<br />
2.4.1<br />
Removal of hazardous substances (such as asbestos) shall be itemised, and the<br />
scope of the work described.<br />
2.4.2<br />
Removal of foundations shall be measured in cubic metres and the sectional sizes<br />
and the lengths indicated.<br />
2.4.3<br />
Removal of pavings shall be measured in square metres together with all available<br />
information relating to thickness.<br />
2.4.4<br />
Concrete work to be demolished shall be measured separately in cubic metres<br />
indicating sectional sizes and lengths; work not exceeding 150 mm thick may be<br />
measured in square metres stating thickness.<br />
2.4.5<br />
Removal of concrete kerbs, gutters and similar items shall be measured in metres.<br />
2.4.6<br />
Brickwork and masonry to be demolished shall be measured generally in square<br />
metres stating the thickness of walls.<br />
2.4.7<br />
The forming of toothings, notchings or halvings, where required to receive new work<br />
shall be measured separately.<br />

2.4.8<br />
Demolition of chimney stacks, boiler flues and the like shall be enumerated.<br />
2.4.9<br />
Timber flooring to be demolished shall be measured in square metres and the<br />
description shall include all available information concerning the flooring, joists,<br />
bearers, strutting and the like.<br />
2.4.1 O<br />
Demolition of roofs shall be measured in square metresof roof covering. All available<br />
information relating to the general construction, flashings, cappings and the like shall<br />
be included in the description.<br />
2.4.1 1<br />
The removal of trusses shall be enumerated.<br />
