Supplier in scientific instrumentation
for nano-characterization
Activities
Cordouan Technologies develops and markets a range of analyzing
instruments dedicated to N3 characterization: Nanomaterial,
Nanoparticles, Nanotechnologies. Our laboratory support is specialized
in physical-chemistry analysis instruments and electron microscopy.
The first range of innovative instruments being developed resulted from
collaboration with the French Petroleum Institute (www.ifp.fr).
Industrialization of new measuring instruments is dedicated to
nanoparticles size distribution analysis (VASCO) and refractive index
measurements (ARAGO) for physical-chemistry analysis in difficult media
(dark, opaque and concentrated suspensions).
Cordouan Technologies introduce in France the only benchtop concept
TEM microscope, the LVEM5. This microscope combines TEM, SEM and
STEM imaging modes in only one instrument. Dedicated to a wide range
of applications such as material science, biology or nano-medecine, the
LVEM5 is compact, easy to use and make no compromise between
imaging contrast and resolution up to 2nm.
The final instruments line is dedicated to electron imaging sample
preparation. Microtomes, ultramicrotomes, freezing systems and
accessories allow preparing extremely thin samples with an excellent
reproducibility at room or cryo temperatures.
New products
The particle size analyzer VASCO is a unique instrument to measure
nanoparticle size in concentrated (up to 40 %) and dark dispersions.
The innovative measurement principle is based on dynamic light
scattering in a thin layer to avoid risk of multi-scattering effect and
laser absorption.
New option: On-line measurement with a by-passed remote measurement
cell to analyze in real time particle size in a reactor or inside
a pipe allowing kinetic of aggregation monitoring.
The refractometer ARAGO is the only refractomer on market capableof
measuring refractive index of liquids out of the classical limits,
from 1nD (air) up to more than 4nD (classical range is 1.3nD - 1.7nD).

properties, offers an enhanced
balance of water resistance and
removability while having very good
adhesion and flexibility.
SYNTRAN PC 5330: Modified with
quaternary groups, this olefin graft
multi-functional polymer is designed
to be more substantive to the hair and
enhance color retention formulations.
SYNTRAN PC 5100: With immediate
tightening and firming attributes, this
polyacrylate copolymer dispersion
improves skin care formulations.
