Procedures The student is to be told that he/she and the instructor are human fountains. In order to become and human fountain he/she must gather water into his/her mouth and “spurt” it out like a fountain. It should be stressed that fountains “spurt” water out and that the water should not be swallowed. This action of taking in water and allowing it to leave the mouth is called shipping. Variation/Modifications None Activity Human Motor Boat Target Task(s) Blowing bubbles in the water, independently getting various parts of the face wet. Equipment Straw for modified game. Procedures The student is to be told that he/she and the instructor are the engine of a motor boat. The instructor demonstrates the sounds of the motor and how producing that sound creates bubbles in the water. The instructor then asks the student to perform the same actions. Variations/Modification If the student is having difficulty with blowing bubbles the instructor can give the student a straw to blow through.
