Stirling and the world
As well as offering a variety of student exchange programmes,
we also welcome visiting Study Abroad students to the University,
and run a summer school for overseas students.
interested in an exchange programme?
Most of our undergraduate programmes offer you the
opportunity to study abroad as an integrated part of the
course of study. Normally this takes place in the third year,
when you can participate in an exchange with one of our
many university partners.
We have ERASMUS exchange agreements with universities
throughout Europe. Each year, some 35 Stirling students
study in the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France,
Germany, Greece, Hungary, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain
and Sweden.
We also offer a range of International Exchange Programmes.
All our partner institutions are highly academic, offering a
variety of academic subjects, living environments, activities
and facilities.

Each semester we welcome around 180 visiting students
from around the globe. You may apply to attend for either
or both of the autumn and spring semesters. You can either
apply as part of an exchange programme, or direct.
You will be eligible for accommodation and have access to all our
facilities, making it easy for you to get involved in campus life.

Our ISS is open to students from around the world, as a
unique opportunity: experience Scotland’s rich culture,
at the same time as gaining credits towards your degree
programme at your home institution.
