Your new life: social<br />
At university, what you do is up to you. That spirit thrives<br />
at <strong>Stirling</strong> and key to it is the Students’ Union. It organises and<br />
provides everything you could possibly want.<br />
<strong>Stirling</strong> <strong>University</strong> Students’ union<br />
You will automatically become a member <strong>of</strong> the Students’<br />
Union when you register at <strong>University</strong>. From then on, what<br />
you do is up to you – including helping to run activities if<br />
you want.<br />
The Union thinks <strong>of</strong> itself as your ‘second home’. As well as<br />
<strong>of</strong>fering its own welfare and information service, The Union<br />
runs a range <strong>of</strong> venues together with an entertainment<br />
programme catering for all tastes.<br />

macrobert<br />
MacRobert is an established arts venue, right at the<br />
centre <strong>of</strong> the campus. The facilities are exceptional<br />
and include a state-<strong>of</strong>-the-art cinema, café/bar,<br />
space for comedy/live music<br />
and a large theatre.<br />
Student nightlife<br />
As well as special events, there are also two student bars<br />
on campus – Studio and the Long Bar – that <strong>of</strong>fer a relaxed<br />
environment to unwind, catch up with friends and lounge<br />
on the comfy s<strong>of</strong>as. The bars have plasma screens and<br />
wireless internet.<br />
Clubs and societies<br />
Student clubs and societies are an important part <strong>of</strong> student<br />
life at <strong>Stirling</strong>.<br />
With well over 50 clubs to choose from, there is certain to be<br />
something that captures your interest. By getting involved,<br />
you’ll gain valuable experience, have fun and meet new<br />
friends along the way.<br />
Popular clubs include the student radio station, TV station<br />
and newspaper as well as drama, music, politics, conservation<br />
and photography clubs.
