GAIL CLARK completed her <strong>MRes</strong><br />

<strong>in</strong> <strong>Translation</strong> <strong>Studies</strong> <strong>in</strong> 2011,<br />

specialis<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> French to English<br />

translation.<br />

Her practical translation work <strong>in</strong><br />

the classroom, comb<strong>in</strong>ed with a<br />

work placement with a museum<br />

foundation for launch<strong>in</strong>g her own<br />

<strong>in</strong>ternet-based translation and<br />

proofread<strong>in</strong>g company.<br />

For Gail, the <strong>MRes</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>Translation</strong><br />

also helped her to appreciate<br />

that there is much more to<br />

Stirl<strong>in</strong>g’s <strong>MRes</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>Translation</strong> <strong>Studies</strong> has all the taught elements of an MSc<br />

<br />

This established programme has a number of features which will enhance your<br />

learn<strong>in</strong>g experience.<br />

Programme Timetable: <br />

Portfolio of <strong>Translation</strong>: Dur<strong>in</strong>g Autumn and<br />

Spr<strong>in</strong>g semesters, you will develop, with your<br />

tutor, your own portfolio of practical translation<br />
