Santander Master’s Scholarship<br />
The <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Stirling</strong> is pleased to <strong>of</strong>fer nine £5,000 taught postgraduate scholarships<br />
funded by the Santander Universities scheme. The <strong>University</strong> is proud to be part <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Santander Network <strong>of</strong> Universities and grateful to Santander for the provision <strong>of</strong> these<br />
scholarships.<br />
Who is eligible to apply for this scholarship?<br />
Applicants who are permanently resident in the following countries may apply:<br />
Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Germany, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico,<br />
Singapore, Spain, Russia, UK, Uruguay, USA<br />
To which courses does this scholarship apply?<br />
The Scholarship is open to those students wishing to study Retail Management,<br />
Investment Analysis, International Accounting & Finance, Banking and Finance,<br />
Behavioural Science for Management, Human Resource Management and Socio-<br />
Economic Development, International Business, International Business & Socio Economic<br />
Development, Energy Management, Environmental Economics, Finance, Human<br />
Resource Management, Management, Marketing, Master <strong>of</strong> Business Administration,<br />
How much is the scholarship worth?<br />
£5,000 for 1 year only<br />
How is this scholarship paid?<br />
Scholarships are paid by a reduction in tuition fee.<br />
How many scholarships are awarded annually?<br />
4 scholarships - <strong>Stirling</strong> Master <strong>of</strong> Business Administration (MBA)<br />
2 scholarships - MSc Behavioural Science for Management<br />
3 scholarships for on any <strong>of</strong> the following programmes:<br />
Retail Management, Investment Analysis, International Accounting &<br />
Finance, Banking and Finance, Human Resource Management and Socio-<br />
Economic Development, International Business, International Business &<br />
Socio Economic Development, Energy Management, Environmental<br />
Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, Management,<br />
Marketing.<br />
scholarships are awarded for students commencing their studies in September 2013.
What are the criteria for this scholarship?<br />

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis <strong>of</strong> academic merit. Candidates must<br />
have, or expect to obtain the international equivalent <strong>of</strong> a UK upper second class<br />
degree at undergraduate level.<br />
You must have accepted an <strong>of</strong>fer <strong>of</strong> a place to study one <strong>of</strong> the named programmes<br />
at the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Stirling</strong><br />
You must articulate your vision <strong>of</strong> how you intend your future career to develop, and<br />
how your intended postgraduate course will help you achieve that vision. You<br />
should provide evidence <strong>of</strong> your commitment to these goals based on your previous<br />
practical or academic achievement.<br />

Recipients <strong>of</strong> this scholarship cannot be in receipt <strong>of</strong> any other <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Stirling</strong><br />
scholarship<br />
Financial need cannot be taken into consideration.<br />

then complete the form below and submit a 1000 word (max) statement about how your<br />
chosen programme will benefit your intended future career and evidence your commitment<br />
to these goals.<br />

The deadline for applications is 12 June 2013<br />
When will I hear if I have been successful?<br />
Successful applicants will normally be informed four weeks after the deadline. Although we<br />
may contact you with a decision in principle based on any predicted grades, your award<br />
will not be formally approved until you hold an unconditional firm <strong>of</strong>fer.
