1.3 Policy Revision
This policy has been created to represent the security needs of the State of Kansas’s
and its information systems as they currently stand. Given that these needs are likely
to change and/or grow over time, this policy must be a living document, being
appended to and updated as required. To that end, the following measures will be
applied:
• These Security Policies will be benchmarked against the State of Kansas security
infrastructure and operational requirements on an as needed basis, at a
maximum interval of three years.
• These Security Policies will be reviewed against the State of Kansas
organizational security requirements and industry standard best practices on an
as needed basis, at a maximum interval of three years.
• These Security Policies will be updated as per the output of the above
procedures on an as needed basis, coinciding with the completion of either
process.
