This is due to its well-designed concept: the electronic induction-type
motor is electronically commutated*, operates
without carbon brushes and produces virtually no mechanical
wear. This minimises power loss and increases the service

The C 12 meets the toughest demands thanks to its extremely
wear-resistant EC technology. In addition, a thermosensor and
electronic low voltage control ensure that the motor and battery
pack have a long service life. If the motor overheats in extreme
cases or the voltage in the batteries is too low, the motor cuts out.
Complete battery pack discharge is a thing of the past.

FastFix ® attachments
The FastFix interface is an indispensable component of all Festool
cordless drills. Attaching the correct system accessories turns the
cordless drill into a variety of tools suitable for almost every task.
Bit inserted directly in the shaft
Jack of all trades.
The revolutionary CENTROTEC rapid
tool-change system replaces chucks and
bit holders. It saves valuable time with
tasks involving screwing and drilling when
tools need to be changed frequently.
CENTROTEC weighs 80 % less than a
standard drill chuck and is 50 % shorter,
but still offers 100 % performance.
It doesn‘t get much shorter than this.
When the bit is inserted in the direct
drill holder, the C 12 is only 15 cm long.
You can easily reach into small areas
and work in positions with limited space.
