Discharge direction following survival<br />
The <strong>VACAR</strong> records details of the patients discharge direction following survival from OHCA.<br />
Trends in discharge direction for all survivors have remained consistent over the past 10 years,<br />
observing only a slight improvement in the rate of patients being discharged home. In <strong>2011</strong>/<strong>12</strong>,<br />
85% of all OHCA survivors were discharged home. In 13% of patients, discharge from hospital<br />
led to rehabilitation, while 2% of patients were discharged to a nursing home.<br />
