• In conjunction with DH and the major health services,
develop and implement improved processes for selection
of hospital destinations

implement systems for en route transmission of clinical
information to receiving hospitals to enable early activation
of the hospital response

• Continue development and implementation of an
integrated strategy for acute coronary care patients,
including early access to primary coronary angioplasty
services and in-field thrombolysis where appropriate
• Identify patient care pathways which provide a potential
alternative to attendance at a hospital ED and explore
options to improve their accessibility to paramedics
