1. Marc-Andre Fleury
Tale of the tape: G, Age 27, 6’ 2”, 180lbs
Marc-Andre Fleury had a career high 42 wins last year
but many feel it was his worst season in the NHL and
his horrible playoff performance added to argument.
The Penguins seemed to have lost all faith in Fleury as
they brought in Tomas Vokoun as insurance in-case
Fleury falters again. Look for Fleury to play fewer
games to try to keep him fresh.
Verdict: Average goalie that plays on a great team
2. Pascal Dupuis
Tale of the tape: RW, Age 33, 6’ 1”, 205lbs
Pascal Dupuis erupted last year with a career highs in Goals, Assists , Points +/-, SOG and GWG
all while being at ripe old age of 32. There is no doubt that Dupuis probably helped the few
GM’s who had him on their rosters win, but having a career year at 32 is very rare and repeating
it is even more rare.
Verdict: Back to a season of fantasy irrelevant stats
3. Matt Cooke
Tale of the tape: LW, Age 33, 5’ 11”, 205lbs
Matt Cooke is one of the most hated players in NHL history. After his last suspension Cooke
decided that it was time for a change in style of play. Cooke put up a career high in goals and
SOG but unfortunately due to this style in play his PIM and hits went down, which were the only
fantasy relevant stats that he contributes to.
Verdict: At 33 look for all his stats to take a hit across the board
