It is much appreciated and fuels the flame to bring another collaboration of sorts down the road. That said, with the lockout in full effect, this month’s guide will focus on some odds and ends in the hockey world. Recently, DobberHockey had its experts draft and boy, was it a dandy. The competition was great, the jokes were flying, and for a few hours, it really did feel like we had a season around the corner. This time, each manager handed in a report on their thoughts on the draft, their team and the opposition. If you missed it, check out Part I, Part II, Part III and Part IV. As for the Entry Divisions, all leagues have started their respective discussion threads in the DobberHockey forums, and you can find them here. Well respected forum member, Pengwin7, went one step further and created a Top 50 Players Report based on the draft pick average. This is a great reference check. In other news, the DobberHockey team proudly welcomes Rick Roos (Holding Court) and Terry Campkin (Geek of the Week) to the fold. If you missed their work thus far, click on their names above. Wondering about the NHL players playing overseas (and for farm teams)? DobberHockey has you covered: lockout player tracker. This month features the top 25 players who excel at A / +/- and PIM / PPP, several player profiles and my Trade Fever influenced final thoughts. This Friday (10/19), I will be attending the Hamilton Bulldogs home opener via press pass, acquired through DobberHockey & DobberProspects. The first of many AHL games this season, I think. (R) = Youth/Rebuild – room for growth Disclaimer / Additional Information This is not a player to player draft guide, simply because the flow of draft, positions required and many other needs come into play. The goal of this list is to push poolies to realize the proper trade value and potential value of the Top Roto Keepers, using the Roto Rank as the foundation. The Trade Value (TV) grade reflects what the player’s perceived worth could be currently at the trade table. This can help determine overrated vs. underrated players. The Potential Roto Value (PRV) highlights a two year peak performance. The higher the player is ranked on the roto list, the more likely they are to reach their PRV. If used correctly, this could enhance your return on investment. ** If you are looking for a calculated and true numbers game, Frozen Pool and Fantasy Hockey Geek (FHP) of the Dobber Sports Network are two very valuable resources. Salary and positional requirements do not affect rankings. Roto Rank Skaters Name / Position / Team TV PRV Roto Focus (Strongest Categories) MOV LM 2M 1.
