<strong>Innsbruck’s</strong> traditional Christmas Market is set before <strong>the</strong> Golden<br />
Roof and surrounded by medieval house facades. On a stroll<br />
through <strong>the</strong> market with over 70 stalls, you will f<strong>in</strong>d Christmas tree<br />
decorations, arts and crafts and a few curiosities. A visit to <strong>the</strong> view<strong>in</strong>g<br />
platform over <strong>the</strong> hut rooftops or <strong>the</strong> enchant<strong>in</strong>g “Fairy Tale<br />
and Giants‘ Alley” is an absolute must. Then round off your even<strong>in</strong>g<br />
under <strong>the</strong> magnificent Christmas tree <strong>in</strong> front of <strong>the</strong> Golden Roof,<br />
with <strong>the</strong> traditional sounds of <strong>the</strong> tower trumpeters fill<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> crisp<br />
air each day and a mug of mulled w<strong>in</strong>e warm<strong>in</strong>g your hands.<br />

This traditional, cosy, Tyrolean village-style market is an experience<br />
<strong>the</strong> whole family will love. The huge range on offer, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g a puppet<br />
show, storytell<strong>in</strong>g, pony rides, pett<strong>in</strong>g zoo and nostalgic carousel<br />
is sure to impress visitors young and old alike. The real eye-catcher<br />
though is <strong>the</strong> glitter<strong>in</strong>g, over 14 metre-high Swarovski crystal tree,<br />
which this year welcomes a new star. More than 60 stalls sell<strong>in</strong>g<br />
Christmas products and a variety of delicious delicacies add to <strong>the</strong><br />
market’s appeal and make it a popular meet<strong>in</strong>g place.<br />

<strong>the</strong> modern market<br />

<strong>Innsbruck’s</strong> ma<strong>in</strong> shopp<strong>in</strong>g street will once aga<strong>in</strong> dazzle visitors<br />
with a cornucopia of lights, glass and crystal – an avenue of glitter<strong>in</strong>g<br />
illum<strong>in</strong>ated trees, with modern light<strong>in</strong>g design and vivid mounta<strong>in</strong><br />
crystal, giv<strong>in</strong>g this Christmas market a very special flair. At <strong>the</strong><br />
30 stalls you will f<strong>in</strong>d an excit<strong>in</strong>g array of <strong>in</strong>ternational Christmas<br />
products and all manner of delicious treats. It’s clear to see <strong>the</strong><br />
world comes to Innsbruck! This market is also open after New Year<br />
until 6 January 2015.<br />
