Information/Itinerary Sheet
MUSIC STUDENTS AND PARENTS:
The Sleepy Hollow Middle School music program will be participating in the Trills and Thrills
competition in Toms River HS North, NJ on Friday, May 29, 2009. Following is information
regarding the trip.
*Departure and arrival times:
Load buses at S.H.M.S. at 7:30 AM on Friday, May 29, 2009.
Depart 6 Flags at 7:00 PM – arriving at S.H.M.S. around 9:00 PM
*Permission slip and Medical form : PLEASE READ!!
The signed permission slip and medical form, with copy of insurance card attached, must
be handed in. Failure to do so will result in the student not participating in this
Festival. A list of students who haven’t handed in forms is posted in the music wing.
Forms will also be available on the District website at tufsd.org
*Dress:
Students should wear casual clothes that will be comfortable for the day in the park.
Facilities for changing clothes will not be provided. The uniform for all Sleepy Hollow
performing groups will be the same: Be comfortable but covered! No tube tops or
bathing suits at the competition! Sneakers are suggested and students may want to
wear bring clothes to change into for the bus ride home. We also suggest that students
bring a sweatshirt and/or raingear because we go to the amusement park in all weather
conditions.
*Money for the day:
The only money needed by students will be for lunch and dinner at Six Flags. We
suggest that students bring a breakfast and a snack to eat on the bus. Admission to the
park is included in the money you have already paid.

*Buses and Chaperones
Students will be signing up for buses and will remain on their assigned bus for the
duration of the trip. There are 6 chaperones attending this trip. Students and chaperones
will be together during the performances. At Six Flags, the students will have mandatory
“Check In” times at the main fountain. Please see schedule below. Failure to meet your
chaperone will result in staying with the chaperone until departure and put students
opportunity for next year’s trip in jeopardy. (For security measures a chaperone will
remain at the fountain at all times). At 6:30 PM students are expected to report to the
fountain where chaperones will escort them to the buses.

7:30 AM Students and chaperones arrive at SHMS in back parking lot to load
buses for Toms River High School North ( NJ)
8:00 AM Buses depart SHMS
10:00 AM Arrive at the performance site
11:00 AM Chorus Performance
11:40 AM Band Performance
12:00 PM Orchestra Performance
12:30 PM DEPARTURE FOR SIX FLAGS!!
1:30 PM Arrive at Six Flags
4:30 PM Check in at the fountain with a chaperone and then go back to the fun
6:30 PM Meet at the fountain and walk to the buses for return trip Depart Six
Flags
7:00 PM Depart Six Flags
9:00 PM Arrive at SHMS
There will be a chaperone at the fountain at all times if you need
anything!!!
