BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, HARRISON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI
MINUTE BOOK APRIL 2009
Supervisor CONNIE M. ROCKCO moved adoption ofthe following:
April 6, 2009, Item # 35
ORDER ACCEPTING THE ONLY BID OF C. C. LYNCH &
ASSOCIATES, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $58,000.00 FOR
THE REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT OF THE COUNTY­
WIDE REAL TIME FLOOD MONITORING SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the Board ofSupervisors does hereby find as follows:
1. That this Board, at a meeting held on the day of ,2009, adopted an Order
authorizing and directing the Clerk ofthe Board to cause publication to be made ofNotice of
Invitation for Bids for the repair and replacement ofthe county-wide real time flood monitoring
system in various locations.
2. That as directed in the aforesaid Order, said Notice ofInvitation for Bids was
published in The Sun Herald, a newspaper published and having a general circulation in Harrison
County, Mississippi for more than one year next immediately preceding the date ofsaid Order
directing publication ofsaid notice, and that the Publisher's Affidavit ofProofofPublication has
been filed with the Clerk ofthis Board, by said Clerk exhibited to the Board, and shows that said
notice was published on February 26,2009 and March 5,2009.
3. That publication ofsaid notice has been made once each week for two consecutive
weeks, the last ofwhich was at least seven working days prior to March 27,2009, the day fixed
for receiving said bids in the legal notice identified in paragraph one thereof, said Proofof
Publication following this Order as Exhibit A.
4. That at a meeting on March 9, 2009, this Board designated its representatives to
receive bids on March 27,2009.
5. That only one bid was received at the time and place and in the manner provided in
said Notice of Invitation for Bids at which time said bid was opened, read aloud, and has
