MINUTES BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, HARRISON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI MINUTE BOOK JULY-AUGUST-SEPTEMBER 2009 Supervisor KIM B. SAVANT moved adoption ofthe following: September 14, 2009, Item # 32 ORDER APPROVING ADDENDUM TO THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT REGARDING THE ASSESSMENT AND COLLECTION OF TAXES BETWEEN HARRISON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI AND THE CITY OF BILOXI ORDERED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HARRISON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, that the Board does HEREBY APPROVE addendum to the Interlocal agreement regarding the assessment and collection oftaxes between Harrison County, Mississippi and the city ofBiloxi, which addendum follows this Order as Exhibit A. Supervisor CONNIE M. ROCKCO seconded the motion to adopt the above and foregoing order, whereupon the question was put to a vote with the following results: Supervisor W. S. SWETMAN III voted Supervisor KIM B. SAVANT voted Supervisor MARLIN R. LADNER voted Supervisor WILLIAM W. MARTIN voted Supervisor CONNIE ROCKCO voted AYE AYE AYE AYE AYE The motion having received the affirmative vote from the majority ofthe supervisors present, the motion was declared carried and the order adopted. , STATE OF MISSISSIPPI COUNTY OF HARRISON AJ)DENDUM TO INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT REGARDING THE ASSESSMENT AND COLLECTION OF TAXES BETWEEN HARRISON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AND THE CITY OF BILOXI WHEREAS, Section 27-41~2, Mississippi Code of 1972, has been amended to authorize the inclusion ofunpaid mWlicipal special assessments in the collection process covered by the Interlocal Agreement pertaining to the collection ofad valorem taxes under which the City and the County have been successfully operating smce 1993; and, 'WHEREAS, in order to fully enable the Tax 'Collector empowered by the Interlocal Agreement to conduct tax sales and collect taxes on behalf ofthe City ofBiloxi it is necessary to amend said Interlocal Agreement to include unpaid municipal special assessments with the collection ofad valorem and other taxes; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED by and between the City ofBiloxi (City) and the County of Harrison (County) as follows: 1. Paragraph 1 ofthe "InterlocaJ. Agreement Relating to the Assessment and Collection of Taxes Between Harrison County, Mississippi, and the City of Biloxi" (the lnterlocal Agreement) is hereby amended by adding "unpaid municipal assessments~' to the list oftaxes which shall be collected by the Tax Collector ofHarrison County as authorized by Section 27-41-2, Mississippi Code of 1972. 2. Paragraph 7 ofthe Interlocal Agreement is hereby amended by adding "unpaid municipal assessments" to the taxes for which property may sold at the land sale conducted for the County as authorized by Section 27-41~2, Mississippi Code of 1972. 3. The Interlocal Agreement shall be interpreted and implemented in accordance with
