The Company<br />
Digitek is a high tech Company created in 1983 and specialised in data acquisition and transmission,<br />
on board control systems, infomobility and displaying systems. Digitek works in partnership with the<br />
world's major automobile and motorcycle manufacturers for the development of highly innovative onboard<br />
instruments for the monitoring and the control of the vehicle conditions.<br />
Dogitek is also one of the leading company in the production of tolling systems for motorway.<br />
ITS Expertise & Solutions<br />
The DIGITEK brand is linked to the birth and development of the remote payment systems that are<br />
extensively used by the <strong>Italia</strong>n tollway network. The company designed the entire Telepass system,<br />
from the components down to installation on the ground. Not to mention maintenance, handled both<br />
on-site and remotely. Today, great developments are underway in remote payment systems: once<br />
again, DIGITEK will be an innovative leader, giving form to technological solutions capable of<br />
managing new, increasingly complex infomobility systems that are completely secure.<br />
In such direction, one of the most innovative projects carried out by Digitek is the MENTOR Project.<br />
MENTOR is an infomobility terminal which allows:<br />
Vehicle detection via Internet, GPS and SMS (i.e., monitoring for haulage firms)<br />
SMS sending via Internet towards a vehicle or groups of vehicles, and audible through a vocal<br />
synhthesis module<br />
Traffic info referring to the highways' stretches one is travelling over<br />
Dangerous or exceptionnally large goods vehicles monitoring<br />
Emergency vehicles' position control and increased efficiency in assistance organizing<br />
Automatic-call first-aid device, or after request from highways' operational centers, and immediate<br />
position signalling<br />
Dogitek also produces video surveillance system for Public Transport security.<br />
