The Newsflash
Through the monthly Italian-language Newsflash, active since May 2003, members can present
products/projects/innovations of interest to them and also supply internet links and contact e-mail
addresses. Newsflash is also used to announce events (workshops, congresses, conventions, etc.)
related to ITS. It is sent via e-mail to the Association’s entire mailing-list (5,000 users).
ITS in Italy Breaking News
“ITS in Italy Breaking News”, the English-language newsflash launched by the Association Secretariat
in March 2004, is a new resource available to members to spread information on new products,
innovations and initiatives of interest to the international market.
The “ITS in Italy Breaking News” is sent by e-mail bi-monthly to the Association’s international
mailing-list (3,000 users).
Congresses
The promotion of the Italian ITS sector at national and international level is a strategic mission of
TTS Italia. For this purpose, since its foundation, TTS Italia has spent big efforts in participating in
events held both in Italy and abroad and has also organised workshops and conferences in strict
collaboration with its Associates.
The following paragraphs report the events in which TTS Italia was involved in 2005-2006
International Exhibition 2005 on Road Transport Technologies - Parma, February 2005
TTS Italia participated in the International Exhibition 2005 on Road Transport Technologies held in
Parma from 18 to 20 February 2005, with a stand. The stand was focussed on new ITS solutions for
fleet management, logistics and intermodal transport.
First National Congress on Innovation in Transport and Traffic Management
“Infrastructura” - Turin, March 2005
TTS Italia was present in the first edition of the National Congress Infrastructura on Innovation in
Transport and Traffic Management, which took place in Turin from 9 to 12 March 2005, with a stand
shared with TTS Italia Members Hello Truck, Mizar Automazione, Soft In, Targa Infomobility and
TSF.
On 11t March TTS Italia organised the round table:
“ITS for the National competitiveness: opportunities and obstacles”
The round table dealt with the role that ITS can play for the improvement of the Italian
competitiveness on the global markets. TTS Italia member speaking in the meeting were
representatives of ACI, Autostrade per l’Italia, Autostrada Torino-Milano, Fiat Research Centre, CSST,
Iveco, Mizar Automazione and Telespazio, while the conclusions were held by the Ministry of
Infrastructure and Transport.
