Event Round up<br />

On <strong>the</strong> 30th May, <strong>2010</strong>, <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>Trinidad</strong> and Tobago <strong>High</strong><br />

<strong>Commission</strong> in London<br />

held Indian Arrival celebrations at<br />

<strong>the</strong> Carnival Village venue. A number<br />

<strong>of</strong> nationals residing in London and<br />

surrounding areas, turned out to<br />

participate in <strong>the</strong> event.<br />

The programme included<br />

per<strong>for</strong>mances by classical indian<br />

dancer Ms. Rohini Kumar and<br />

musicians Mr. Sam Randhawa, sitarist<br />

and Mr. Bonty Baines on <strong>the</strong> tabla.<br />

After opening remarks by <strong>for</strong>mer<br />

Commercial Attaché, Dionne Ligoure,<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>Trinidad</strong> and Tobago’s <strong>High</strong><br />

<strong>Commission</strong>er-designate, London<br />

H.E Serena Joseph-Harris addressed<br />

nationals with her Indian Arrival Day<br />

message (see page 6).<br />

The keynote address entitled<br />

“Homelessness, Arrival and<br />

Belonging” was delivered by guest<br />

speaker Mr. Ron Ramdin.<br />
