<strong>for</strong> <strong>Trinidad</strong> and Tobago<br />

to <strong>the</strong> United Kingdom <strong>of</strong><br />

Great Britain and Nor<strong>the</strong>rn Ireland,<br />

Ms Gail Guy presided over <strong>the</strong><br />

monthly nationals meeting held<br />

on Wednesday 31st March. There<br />

was a celebration <strong>of</strong> academic<br />

excellence and <strong>Trinidad</strong> and Tobago<br />

literature at its best.<br />

CAPE Prize in History was<br />

presented with a laptop, framed<br />

certificate and a book by Acting<br />

<strong>High</strong> <strong>Commission</strong>er <strong>of</strong> <strong>Trinidad</strong> and<br />

Tobago to <strong>the</strong> United Kingdom,<br />

Ms.Gail Guy.<br />

The book launch <strong>of</strong> ‘Cook up’ in<br />

a Trini-Kitchen followed <strong>the</strong><br />

presentation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> award and prize<br />

giving. The introduction <strong>of</strong> author<br />

and WindRush Arts Award Winner,<br />

Mr. John Lyons was done by poet<br />

Mr. John Agard. He serenaded <strong>the</strong><br />

crowd with fitting poetic tributes<br />

be<strong>for</strong>e Mr. Lyons was introduced to<br />

<strong>the</strong> crowd and given centre stage to<br />

give remarks and launch his latest<br />

<strong>Trinidad</strong> and Tobago inspired book.<br />

On <strong>the</strong> 26th May, <strong>2010</strong>,<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>Trinidad</strong> and Tobago<br />

<strong>High</strong> <strong>Commission</strong> in<br />

London hosted <strong>the</strong> monthly<br />

nationals meeting. A large number<br />

<strong>of</strong> nationals residing in London and<br />

surrounding areas, turned out to<br />
