Peridermium columnare, Alb. and Schw. Simple,<br />

slender, naked, cylindrical, elongated, lacerated at <strong>the</strong> apex,<br />

white ; sporidia orange.—On Picea. Watcombe, near Torquay.<br />

^cidiiim Orchidearum, Fiedl. Orchis Cluster-cup ;<br />

spots^ large, pallid, orbicular or elongated ; peridia circinating,<br />

semi-immersed ; spores golden-yeUow. — On Orchis latifolia.<br />

Dilhara, Norfolk. June, 1866.<br />

Puccinia discoidearum, Link. Sou<strong>the</strong>rnwood Brand ;<br />

spots obliterated; sori subrotund, minute, surrounded by <strong>the</strong><br />

ruptured epidermis ; sporidia brown, oblong or ovoid, somewhat<br />

rhomboidal, with both cells attenuated, and triangular ; peduncles<br />

elongated. — On Artemisia maritima. Swanscombe Marshes.<br />

Puccinia Virgaurese, Lib. Golden-rod Brand ; spots<br />

orbicular, pallid, <strong>the</strong>n yellowish ;<br />

sori blackish-brown, minute,<br />

punctiform, shining, clustered, nearly stellate, convex; sporidia<br />

oblong, subconstrieted, yellowish-brown above, attenuated and<br />

yellowish-white below ; peduncles short. — On leaves of Solidago<br />

virgaurea. Shere, Surrey. July and August, 1865. {Dr. Capron.)<br />

Puccinia difibrmis, Kunze. Goosegrass Brand; spots<br />

yellowish sori<br />

; variable, compact, often in rings ; epidermis<br />

bullate ; sporidia obovate, obtuse, on short pedicels, brown.—On<br />
