2 A. Yes, sir.
3 Q. Do you remember any specifics about those
4 deals, whatever they were?
5 A. They were purchases of real estate. I don't
6 recall whether we actually did closings for them. We
7 may have. As a matter of fact, I think perhaps Harold
8 Bofshever in my office did some personal closings for
9 them, potentially some business closings. And then
10 there was, of course, real estate we invested in
11 together that our office handled the legal work for.
12 Q. We've spoken to Mr. Tonacchio earlier, and
13 based on his recollection, he recalls having met you
14 in your office when he was there, I believe to meet
15 with Mr. Bofshever, simply met you in the hallway. Is
16 that consistent with your recollection?
17 A. Unfortunately I probably met over 1,000
18 people in the hallways of my office over the years. I
19 can't tell you if I met Mr. Tonacchio on the side
20 meeting in my office. It's certainly possible. I
21 became an acquaintance of his and then friends of his
22 through our friends.
23 Q. So even though you got to know him through
24 joint acquaintances, you may have actually first met
25 him in your office?
