Cost: $30/person Fee includes grafting supplies and root stock for one hands<br />

on graft (bring your own grafting knife or utility knife) Advance reservation and<br />

payment required and the class will be limited to the first 15 people making and<br />

paying for a reservation. Registration form on back.<br />

The class will emphasize cleft and whip grafting but will also discuss other<br />

methods. Demonstration will be show for these methods plus a demonstration<br />

of cleft grafting citrus on TF root stock. The class will also include a tour of the<br />

BCMG orchard and where the collection of scion wood will be discussed and<br />

demonstrated.<br />

Participants will have a choice of doing a peach, plum or pear graft. The peach<br />

and plum will be done on nemaguard root stock and the pear will be done on<br />

gally pear rootstock. Both roots stocks perform well in Brazoria County. Each<br />

participant will leave this seminar with a grafted tree of his choice.<br />

Your instructor will be <strong>Master</strong> Gardener Dan Sebesta who has been grafting for<br />

seven years and has taught grafting classes for four years. Mr. Sebesta has<br />

trained with <strong>Master</strong> Grafter Bonnie Childress and has also grafted cocktail trees<br />

(trees with several varieties on one tree).<br />
