1. Students may not normally enrol for third professional courses until they have completed
the first professional year.
2. Subject to the approval of the Head of Department, a candidate, may offer, in place of one
or two courses above, courses(s) from other department(s) for which the student satisfies the
necessary pre-requisites. None of the courses can be credited towards another degree.
Approval will be subject to consideration of previous courses taken by the student and the
suitability of the course to the student’s degree.
3. If you wish to take a ME course as one of your 3 rd Professional options, you should consult
the 3 rd Professional Co-ordinator. To be eligible to take a ME course you must have at least
a B+ average in 2 nd Professional.
4. Students wishing to undertake projects (493, 494, 495) must have at least a B average in 2 nd
Professional. You should consult the Project Co-ordinator.
