2005-2006<br />
Pdstore.com reported a net income <strong>of</strong> $20,546.22, with sales $26,000 higher than a year ago to<br />
the same date.<br />
Also, at the December board meeting, the resignation from the Board <strong>of</strong> Directors <strong>of</strong> John<br />
Bernard was regretfully accepted by the President. At Mr. Bernard’s suggestion, John Kim Bell<br />
was approached to replace Mr. Bernard. Mr. Bell accepted and attended his first board meeting<br />
on February 10, 2006.<br />
eSolutions provided an update for December/05-January/06<br />
Highlights: On January 25 CSC was advised that it was one <strong>of</strong> two successful applicants for the<br />
Gateway Fund On December 21 an Expression <strong>of</strong> Interest was submitted to the Inukshuk<br />
Internet Inc.<br />
Evaluation Services (ES) provided a report for this meeting, again with Trillium-related statistics<br />
and liaison activities, April/05 to February/06. ES also provided an amended report for April 1,<br />
2005 to March 31, 2006, which indicated that for this period 179 evaluators were trained for the<br />
Trillium List. Since responsibility for Supplementary Evaluations was transferred to ES in<br />
September 2005, this report was based on data from the evaluations done September 1 to<br />
December 24 2005, which showed that 20 were completed<br />
Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Learning Services (PLS) and pdstore.com provided year end reports (April 1,<br />
2005 to March 31, 2006)<br />
For fiscal year end, pdstore.com reported net income (excluding CSC management fees) at over<br />
$11,600, marking three years <strong>of</strong> stable sales. Overseas private schools and MarkBook users<br />
continue to be loyal customers. Over the past five fiscal years, net sales increased by 85% and<br />
net income by 166% - a real success story!<br />
PLS also had a busy and successful year, with 24 web conference demonstrations, 117 web<br />
conferences, 34 video recordings and 23 private school training and consultations contracts.<br />
eSolutions also provided an update/overview for the period October 3, 2005-March 31, 2006,<br />
highlights <strong>of</strong> which are included in its final report for June 2006, which will be referenced<br />
below.<br />
In February-April 2006, various aspects <strong>of</strong> business development were ongoing but a highlight<br />
was a meeting with Literacy and Numeracy Secretariat representatives regarding webcasts and<br />
web conferences for the 2006-07 fiscal year.<br />
On April 28, 2006, the board received and discussed the CEO Succession Plan: Committee<br />
Structure. CSC received substantial funds from the Ministry for the Lighthouse Project, the<br />
Executive Director to meet with the Ministry to learn details <strong>of</strong> the funding.<br />
