Activity 5: Making the Point: The Art of Persuasive Writing<br />
Time: 120 minutes<br />
Description<br />
Students respond to an issue or topic based on their reading of the play and write a persuasive piece to<br />
express their views. Students are encouraged to articulate their position through the lens of their<br />
developing moral conscience.<br />

use the forms appropriately in their own writing, with an emphasis on supporting opinions or<br />
interpretations with specific information;<br />
LGV.01D - use knowledge of vocabulary and language conventions to speak, write, and read<br />

MDV.01D - use knowledge of the elements, intended audiences, and production practices of a variety<br />

Specific Expectations:<br />
