Allen is SO excited to get to play Finch. He was last seen on the Welk<br />

Resort stage playing Willard in their production of Footloose two seasons<br />

ago. Regional credits include: Jamie in The last 5 Years, Jerry Lukowski<br />

in The Full Monty, Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls, and Lumiere in<br />

Beauty and the Beast. Aside from being 'on-stage', Allen also works<br />

as a professional musical director and has worked for 3D Theatricals,<br />

Performance Riverside, Musical Theatre West, and Candlelight Pavilion.<br />

In addition to being a member of the Citrus College music department<br />

staff in Glendora, Allen serves as choir director and pianist at Sacred<br />

Heart Parish in Covina and worship leads at Christ First in Covina.<br />

Allen has had the good fortune to work alongside such greats as Sutton Foster, Carol Burnett, Eden<br />

Espinosa, Anthony Rapp, and Bobby Rydell.Allen would like to thank God, his family, and his beautiful<br />

Bethany Slomka is thrilled to be making her Welk Theater debut! Recent<br />

San Diego Credits include The Narrator in Joseph And The Technicolor<br />

Dreamcoat (SDMT), Tracy in Hairspray (SD Rep), The Music Man<br />

(Lamb's Players Theater), and The Toughest Girl Alive (Moxie/NY Fringe<br />

Lindsay is thrilled to making her debut at The Welk Resort Theater. She<br />

received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cal State Fullerton in 2004.<br />

WALTER SMITH MR. BIGGLEY<br />

This is Walter's third appearance on the Welk stage, having been seen<br />

previously as a myriad of characters in 2010's It's A Wonderful Life and<br />

as the aged Shakespearian actor Henry in 2011's The Fantasticks.<br />

Walter<br />

appears courtesy of his patient and understanding wife Cathy, who<br />

supports the pursuit of his calling. Jeremiah 29:11.<br />

MARIE KELLY MISS JONES<br />

Marie is happy to return to the Welk after performing last year in Big Band<br />

Christmas. She was featured in the role of Shanti in the national tour of<br />

Bombay Dreams, and in several roles in Hats!. Marie created the role of<br />

Capitana Miranda in Creature from the Black Lagoon: The Musical<br />

Universal Studios Hollywood, and performed the role of the Narrator in<br />

Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular<br />

credits include Joice Heth in Barnum,<br />

at Disney's California Adventure. Other<br />

Susannah in Tintypes, Lady Thiang in The King and I, Reno Sweeney in<br />

several productions of Nunsense. She was privileged to play the role of Lita Encore in the Orange<br />

DONN HUNTER MR. BRATT<br />

Donn Hunter is excited to return to the Welk stage after last being seen in<br />

Funny Girl. He also has been seen in many other Southern California<br />

productions including, Carousel, Footloose, Anything Goes, Chess and<br />

Music Man. Donn recently returned to California after being in New York<br />

for the last 4 years. He is happy to be back. Special thanks to Suzanne &<br />

Cory, Ray & Josh, and LAS.<br />

JOHN BURT POLHAMUS MR. TWIMBLE/WALLY WOMPER<br />

John Burt Polhamus returns enthusiastically to the Welk Musical Theater<br />

following his Fall '11 appearance as the Governor/lnkeeper in Man of La<br />

Mancha. John has enjoyed a long and comprehensive career in nearly<br />

every area of the vocal arts, at home here in San Diego, and ranging from<br />

London and Mexico to the Far East. In London John covered and performed<br />

the title role in Jolson: The Musical, as well as that of Mssr. Lumiere in<br />

the Original London Company of Disney's<br />

Beauty and the Beast, and<br />

Mssr. Firmin in the UK Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the<br />

Opera. In San Diego he has performed with Starlight, the Welk Musical<br />

Theatre, and has appeared in numerous productions with Lamb's<br />

PlayersTheater in Coronado.As a classical vocalist, John has appeared with the San DiegoSymphony<br />

and Symphony Pops, San Diego Opera, Opera de Tijuana, Pavillion Opera (UK), Regency Opera (UK),<br />

and has performed in Gilbert & Sullivan's H.M.S. Pinafore with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Co. (London,<br />

South Bank, 2000). John has sung as a soloist in oratorio, with the Bach Collegium San Diego, has<br />

appeared in recital in San Diego and in London, and has recorded the spoken word for commercial<br />

release. This Spring, John will once again appear with the Bach Collegium, singing the Pilate/Narrator<br />

roles in the St. John Passion.


RENEE RAND ENSEMBLE / SCRUBWOMAN<br />

Renee is thrilled to be making her debut at the Welk! Credits include<br />

National Tour / Vegas cast of Saturday Night Fever, Gypsy, & Meet Me In<br />

SI. Louis. Renee has been featured as Tinkerbell at Tokyo Disneyland, &<br />

a dancer for LeAnn Rimes. Much love to my family and friends for their<br />

support! For Collin, Lucas, and Jackie. I love you!<br />

BENJAM<strong>IN</strong> HART TACKABERRY<br />

Benjamin Hart is delighted to be back on the Welk stage after having<br />

appeared here in 2007's Thoroughly Modern Millie. Other credits include<br />

Annie Get Your Gun, Seussical the Musical, and Pirates of Penzance<br />

at the Moonlight Amphitheatre, and The Music Man at Starlight Bowl. He<br />

Katie is ecstatic to be joining the Welk family in such a wonderful show.<br />

She was recently seen in San Diego Musical Theater's production of<br />

Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Other favorite<br />

shows include Anything Goes (Purity), Brigadoon at FCLO,The Wedding<br />

Singer, Joseph ... Dreamcoat (narrator), Damn Yankees (Lola),<br />

RAY LIMON<br />

DIREC<strong>TO</strong>R / CHOREOGRAPHER<br />

Ray is pleased to return to the Welk Theatre where he has<br />

directed/choreographed over 25 productions. Nationally, he<br />

has directed over two hundred productions working<br />

with<br />

such stars as Cathy Rigby, Janet Leigh, John Raitt,<br />

George Hearn, Jon Cypher and Mickey Rooney and more.<br />

Production companies include Fullerton Civic Light Opera,<br />

La Mirada Civic Theater, The McCallum Theater, The Grand<br />

Dinner Theater, Candlelight Pavilion, Starlight Bowl, Ocala<br />

Civic Theater, Sierra Repertory Theater, Yorba Linda Civic<br />

Light Opera, London Arms Pub and Playhouse, Cal/Neva<br />

Hotel and Casino, Wagner College in New York, and Tulsa<br />

University in Oklahoma.<br />

He has served as Director/Choreographer for six<br />

productions for Saddleback Civic Light Opera,ten productions for The Poway Centerforthe Performing<br />

Arts and thirty eight productions for the Moonlight Amphitheater in Vista.<br />

Ray staged Walt Disney World's Fourth of July Spectacular, the 1987 internationally televised<br />

Superbowl Halftime Show, and the 1989 internationally televised opening to the Tournament of<br />

Roses Parade. Ray has been awarded two Los Angeles Robby Awards, The Desert Theater<br />

League Award, and two London Arms Pub and Playhouse Awards for outstanding Director and<br />

Choreographer.<br />

Ray recently Choreographed Broadway Tonight and Broadway and Beyond, two all-star benefits<br />

at the Alex Theater in Glendale, featuring Eric McCormack from Will and Grace and Matthew<br />

Morrison from Glee and just finished Christmas with Carol Channing at the Agua Caliente Spa and<br />

Casino Theatre in Palm Desert.<br />

As a performer on stage Rayappeared in Hello Dolly starring Martha Raye, Best Little Whorehouse<br />

in Texas in Lake Tahoe, and one of Los Angeles's longest running musicals: A 5678. Film and<br />

television appearances include Columbo, Exorcist II, and Staying Alive, starring John Travolta.
