STORYTELLING
Storytelling is an important part of many
cultures and is enjoyed and cherished by
young and old alike. For Kids’ APT Summer
Spectacular, APT5 artists were asked to
nominate their favourite childhood story
to be retold to children visiting the Gallery.
Come along and listen to wonderful stories
including ‘The City of Ghor’, a story that
Jitish Kallat knew as a child. 13–28 January

SUMMER SPECTACULAR
— QUEENSLAND
As part of the Kids’ APT Summer
Spectacular, a one-day event will be
staged on Saturday 13 January 2007, in
which children in regional Queensland
centres participate simultaneously
in activities drawn from the Kids’ APT
program.

PARENTS’/CARERS’ GUIDE
Please ensure that children are
accompanied by an adult at all times.
Parent/carer discretion is encouraged
regarding the age suitability of each
activity.
Please refrain from taking food and drinks
inside the Gallery. Also, please help us to
protect the art works by not touching.
FIRST AID First Aid officers will be in the
First Aid Room located near the bathrooms
on the Watermall level in QAG and in the
First Aid Room opposite the information
desk, left of the escalators, in GoMA.
PARENTS’ ROOM There are Parents’
Rooms located adjacent to the Stanley
Place entrance and next to the bathrooms
on the Watermall level in QAG and
adjacent to the Cinémathèque Box Office
near the main entry in GoMA (see map).
LOST CHILDREN In the instance of a lost
child, please contact a staff member.
TOILETS All bathrooms are located inside
both QAG and GoMA (see map).
INFORMATION There will be an
information point at the main entrance of

CLOAK ROOM Belongings can be left in
the Cloak Rooms adjacent to the main
entrances in both buildings.
LOST PROPERTY Lost belongings will be
handed in to the nearest Cloak Room.
DISABLED ACCESS Please use lifts and
ramps provided.
EMERGENCY EXIT POINTS In the case
of an emergency evacuation, all guests
inside the Gallery will be asked to leave via
the regular emergency exits. Please follow
the direction of security personnel.
