ARTISTS<br />

Collaborating with artists to develop<br />

and present innovative programs for<br />

kids is an important part of the Gallery’s<br />

programming for kids. At the Kids’ APT<br />

<strong>Summer</strong> <strong>Spectacular</strong>, children can listen<br />

to <strong>APT5</strong> artists talk about their work then<br />

engage with some of the artists’ ideas<br />

in hands-on workshops. Local artists will<br />

also present workshops throughout the<br />

festival.<br />

EX DE MEDICI eX de Medici has created<br />

cabinets filled with similarly coloured<br />

objects from the Queensland Art Gallery<br />

Collection for you to explore in this<br />

workshop. Respond to your favourite<br />

colour cabinet with a poem or picture.<br />

KHADIM ALI For Kids’ APT, Khadim Ali<br />

did drawing classes with Afghanistani<br />

children in his homeland of Bamiyan. The<br />

drawings, displayed in Kids’ APT, show us<br />

the children’s views of their environment.<br />

In this workshop Khadim Ali invites you to<br />
