ACCOMPLISHMENTS:<br />

1 st Quarter Report: As <strong>of</strong> 12/13/02, there is an ongoing implementation plan <strong>for</strong> CPRS that will eventually include all 159 counties.<br />

Currently, 104 <strong>of</strong> 159 counties have been trained to use the new system. After the implementation plan is complete, utilization<br />

assessment will begin. The DFCS Director's <strong>of</strong>fice issued a mandate to county <strong>of</strong>fices that CPRS is the mandated method <strong>of</strong><br />

completing case plans <strong>for</strong> all children entering care. The Foster Care Unit intends to revise policy to include CPRS in the first quarter<br />

2003.<br />

Work committee to review current data systems to determine if this data is available in either CPRS or AFCARS and if not, to<br />

establish data elements needed <strong>for</strong> exception report. A meeting will be scheduled within the next quarter after work group is<br />

established.<br />

2nd Quarter Response: Partially Achieved Response as <strong>of</strong> 4/16/2003: All 159 counties have been trained. All the judges have been<br />

trained. For the month <strong>of</strong> March 2003, there were 2154 successful logins to the system. As <strong>of</strong> this date there are 11, 884 case plans in<br />

various states <strong>of</strong> revision in the system. The DFCS Director's <strong>of</strong>fice issued a mandate to county <strong>of</strong>fices that CPRS is the mandated<br />

method <strong>of</strong> completing case plans <strong>for</strong> all children entering care. The Foster Care Unit revised policy to include CPRS.<br />

3 rd Quarter: Achieved. The Case <strong>Plan</strong> Reporting System (CPRS) was enhanced to include specific elements <strong>of</strong> adoption policy. The<br />

new functionality was piloted in Dekalb County and then implemented and trained statewide. Training concluded 1/31/2003. CPRS is<br />

located on the Internet at www.gacaseplan.org . A demo that does not require an ID or password is available on the website. Policy<br />

manual has been revised to include CPRS. SSMT 03-03 is currently approved and in print.<br />
