BARRIERS TO ACHIEVEMENT:<br />

1 st Quarter Report: The training <strong>of</strong> all 159 counties (1,200 caseworkers) and juvenile court judges and staff (approximately 100<br />

judges) has taken longer than planned but will be complete January 2003.<br />

2 nd Quarter Federal Response: Is the training completed?<br />

3 rd Quarter Georgia Reply: Yes.<br />

D5 ACTION STEPS: Conduct annual cross training <strong>for</strong> judges, case managers, Sags, GALs, parent attorneys, CASAs, and Citizen<br />

Panel volunteers on acceptable permanency goals.<br />

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:<br />

Achieved. The 3 rd Annul Child Placement Cross-Training Conference took place in November 2002. Judges, case managers, Saags,<br />

GALs, parent attorneys, CASAs, and Citizen panel volunteers all attended. Appropriate permanency options were taught in<br />

workshops.<br />
