1 st Quarter Report: This benchmark was partially achieved. All current DFCS staff and providers have been trained on FP/BP<br />

wrap around policies and procedures. All foster care staff have been trained on the Case <strong>Plan</strong> Reporting System (CPRS). The PIP<br />

states that this will be completed on July '03. The new target date <strong>for</strong> completion will be February '04. Business process analysis will<br />

begin in early March '03. Implementation will begin in March 2004.<br />

2 nd Quarter Report - A change in the completion date was approved. No report due this quarter.<br />

2 nd Quarter Federal Response: What is the status/update <strong>of</strong> this action steps? We need to be able to know your progress in this area.<br />

3 rd Quarter Report Georgia's Reply: The Case <strong>Plan</strong> Reporting System (CPRS) has been trained on and implemented in all 159<br />

Georgia counties. DFCS policy mandates its use. Functionality to capture data about First Placement Best Placement is being added to<br />

CPRS by 12/03. Reporting will assist in data collection about recommendations made during the comprehensive assessment and the<br />

state's ability to provide the recommended resources. This in<strong>for</strong>mation will be available by county, region, and state.<br />

4 th Quarter Report: The build <strong>of</strong> the report has been requested. It is anticipated that the state will renegotiate this item.<br />

5 th Quarter Report: The First Placement Best Placement has been added to CPRS but not trained on. Tracking the child's Health<br />

Check Schedule has not been added. Work is in process.<br />

BARRIERS TO ACHIEVEMENT:<br />

C8 ACTION STEPS:<br />

Georgia will complete an annual review (<strong>of</strong> selected counties) <strong>of</strong> the First Placement/Best Placement <strong>Program</strong><br />

to include on-site case reviews <strong>of</strong> 50 randomly selected cases. This review will be similar to the federal on-site<br />

review. Children, caregivers/families and other stakeholders will be interviewed. Fulton will be included at each<br />

annual review.<br />

These Consultants will assist county supervisors and other stakeholders in conducting the annual qualitative<br />

case review. DFCS will provide training to these consultants and other stakeholders on the procedures <strong>for</strong><br />

conducting this annual review. DFCS will develop a contract with a provider to provide this training.<br />

3 rd Quarter: Georgia request ACF approval to change this action step to the following statement: Qualitative<br />
