5 th Quarter Report: Achieved. The automated Foster Care and Adoption Recruitment and Reporting System is a welcome change<br />

from the manual completion <strong>of</strong> the annual and Quarterly Recruitment <strong>Plan</strong>s by counties. Counties have completed their first quarter <strong>of</strong><br />

online reporting and are currently inputting data <strong>for</strong> the next quarter. The DHR IT is currently working on the next stage <strong>of</strong> this<br />

project, which will allow the state to generate reports on a quarterly and annual basis. The program currently has the capacity to<br />

identify counties that have not submitted reports by the due date. Delinquent notices were sent out to about ten <strong>of</strong> the 159 county<br />

directors during the first reporting period. The state will use this data at the end <strong>of</strong> the SFY 04 to publish statewide recruitment and<br />

retention outcomes <strong>for</strong> resource families who foster and adopt. This publication will provide pr<strong>of</strong>iles <strong>of</strong> regional needs,<br />

accomplishments and outcomes <strong>for</strong> families who inquire to adopt. The report will also provide in<strong>for</strong>mation regarding placement needs<br />

and available resources.<br />

5 th Quarter DOCUMENTATION:<br />

Foster Care and Adoption Services: Edit Recruitment Statistics a down loaded report that was completed by Fulton County DFCS, the<br />

largest county in the State and Appling County DFCS a smaller rural county <strong>of</strong>fice.<br />
