ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
5 th Quarter Report: Achieved. In cooperation with providers, DFCS has been working diligently to create a Level of Care (LOC)
system that purchases placement services for a child based on the child's needs. Six different Levels of Care have been developed for
assisting DHR/DFCS staff, Department of Juvenile justice (DJJ) staff, and private Foster/Child Care provider staff in making
appropriate placement and treatment planning decisions for each child in care. The LOC is expected to be implemented statewide by
March 2004.
