2 nd Quarter Report: The following resources are social services resources are on-line: Referral Central hosted by the Georgia<br />

Association <strong>for</strong> Homes and Services <strong>for</strong> Children (www.referralcentral.net )<br />

This resource is a statewide database <strong>of</strong> First Placement Best Placement providers, Shelters, Family Preservation providers, counseling<br />

services, psychiatric hospitals, foster and group homes and other services. The complete Promoting <strong>Safe</strong> and Stable Families guide is<br />

available <strong>for</strong> on-line viewing at www.caresolutions.com.<br />

PSSF's service area covers the entire state with prevention, intervention, preservation, reunification and adoption services.<br />

Additionally, the Division <strong>of</strong> Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Addictive Diseases has a comprehensive listing <strong>of</strong> its<br />

community service boards, private providers and health departments. Since, there is not a singular database, the in<strong>for</strong>mation from all<br />

sources needs to be merged with existing paper database in<strong>for</strong>mation to determine service gaps<br />

and geographical areas in need <strong>of</strong> service.<br />

3rd Quarter Federal Response: 3 rd Quarter Report: ???<br />

5 th Quarter Report: This new work team has not had an opportunity to meet. However, the State expects to meet its completion date.<br />

BARRIERS TO ACHIEVEMENT:<br />

All existing resources have not been accounted <strong>for</strong>. Ef<strong>for</strong>ts need to continue around data collection be<strong>for</strong>e a determination is made<br />

about service gaps. The database has not been developed. Thus studies on gaps in available resources have not been determined.<br />

O10 ACTION STEPS:<br />

Strengthen and make mandatory the Case <strong>Plan</strong> Reporting System to ensure that in<strong>for</strong>mation about the child's<br />

mental health is documented to eliminate breaks in mental health services. Provide additional support and<br />

training so case managers can use the system effectively. (1) A tool to assess quality <strong>of</strong> the CPRS case plans<br />

needs to be developed. (2) Monthly comparisons <strong>of</strong> IDS entries with CPRS case plans initiated will be<br />

conducted. The in<strong>for</strong>mation gathered in 1 and 2 will be used to determine the need <strong>for</strong> technical assistance to<br />

specific counties.<br />

5 th Quarter: The State requests to delete (1) and (2) above. Reason: The State currently does not have the<br />

manpower resources to develop a tool to assess the quality <strong>of</strong> CPRS case plans and/or make monthly<br />

comparisons <strong>of</strong> the two databases. However, the State has supported continued CPRS training ef<strong>for</strong>ts. The State<br />
