Division's implementation <strong>of</strong> the Wrap-Around services component along with the First Placement/Best Placement Assessment<br />

process will continue to provide in<strong>for</strong>mation on which we will base reporting.<br />

The Foster Care Unit is moving towards developing an access database to assist in identifying placement resource gaps. The<br />

Division's implementation <strong>of</strong> the Assessment component <strong>of</strong> First Placement/Best Placement will continue to provide in<strong>for</strong>mation on<br />

needs and services <strong>of</strong> children, parents and foster parents.<br />

3 rd Quarter Federal Response: Have you completed monthly county-by-county report?<br />

4 th Quarter Report: A monthly report has been generated. This report identifies by county the number <strong>of</strong> clients served each month<br />

with the specific type <strong>of</strong> wrap-around service.<br />

Georgia will complete an annual statewide review <strong>of</strong> the First Placement/Best Placement <strong>Program</strong> to include on<br />

site case reviews <strong>of</strong> 50 randomly selected cases. This review will be similar to the federal on site review.<br />

Children, caregivers/families and other stakeholders will be interviewed. Fulton will be included at each annual<br />

review. 2 nd Quarter addition per ACF request: The qualitative review process will allow the team to<br />

determine the following: the effectiveness <strong>of</strong> the First Placement, Best Placement assessment in reducing the<br />

number <strong>of</strong> moves a child experiences while in foster care; the percent <strong>of</strong> children who re-enter foster care, the<br />

length <strong>of</strong> time to achieve permanency; the percentage <strong>of</strong> children in foster care who are abused and neglected;<br />

and the success <strong>of</strong> case managers implementing the service recommendations <strong>for</strong> children and families<br />

indicated in the FP/BP assessment. Georgia will continue to assess the effectiveness and impact <strong>of</strong> the First<br />

Placement/Best Placement <strong>Program</strong> and Wraparound Services <strong>Program</strong>. The plan <strong>for</strong> Qualitative Reviews will<br />
