especially in the metro areas. Evaluation: Visitation centers<br />

will be measured by a documented increase in the number<br />

<strong>of</strong> visits that occur between parents and siblings.<br />

There has been a documented increase in the number <strong>of</strong><br />

visits that occur between parents and siblings. Visitation<br />

conducted in these community-based settings occurs once a<br />

week during non-traditional hours and is facilitated by<br />

transportation services to remove barriers to consistent and<br />

meaningful interaction.<br />

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:<br />

1 st and 2 nd Quarter Reports: Presently the state <strong>of</strong>fers competitive funding opportunities <strong>for</strong> the development <strong>of</strong> Family Visitation<br />

Services Centers and the provision <strong>of</strong> reunification services through the Promoting <strong>Safe</strong> and Stable Families <strong>Program</strong> (PSSF).<br />

The 2003 Request <strong>for</strong> Proposals was issued in April <strong>of</strong> 2002 to over 1000 state government agencies, public and private non-pr<strong>of</strong>it<br />

entities statewide. A separate notice <strong>of</strong> Title IV-B, Subpart 2 (PSSF) fund availability was issued in July 2002 in partnership with the<br />

Court <strong>Improvement</strong> Project to provide program and funding in<strong>for</strong>mation to Judicial Circuits interested in supporting the development<br />
