ACCOMPLISHMENTS:<br />

Caseworker documentation indicates increase in<br />

parent/child and sibling visitations.<br />

1 st Quarter Report: Partially Achieved. The Foster Care Unit is currently conducting First Placement Best Placement training <strong>for</strong> all<br />

placement and child Protective services staff, along with private providers. The importance <strong>of</strong> and requirements <strong>for</strong> parent and child<br />

visitation is being emphasized at each <strong>of</strong> these sessions. Funding options, suggestions <strong>for</strong> locations <strong>of</strong> visits, where visitation centers<br />

are non-existent, frequency <strong>of</strong> visits, and documentation requirements are among the topics covered in the training. It is expected that<br />

all staff and interested private providers will be trained by the end <strong>of</strong> January 2003.<br />
