4 th Quarter Report: Partially Achieved. Ef<strong>for</strong>ts to revise the Supervisory Review Form continue, as indicated above under Goal # 2,<br />

Step # 1.<br />

5th Quarter Report: Partially Achieved. The state has made the decision to discontinue using the Supervisory Review Guide and<br />

replaces it with the Child Placement Services E & R Social Services Review Guide, developed by the Evaluation and Reporting (E &<br />

R) <strong>of</strong>fice. This instrument is already developed and available to the staff. Also, it incorporates PIP requirements <strong>for</strong> Georgia. It<br />

encompasses the same in<strong>for</strong>mation contained in the previous Supervisory Review Guide, and includes a reference to ef<strong>for</strong>ts to place<br />

siblings together (under Item 28). The E & R Review Guide is already available to staff and requires no additional training. As new<br />

staff are hired and trained, this is incorporated into their training components as well.<br />

BARRIERS TO ACHIEVEMENT:<br />

G6 ACTION STEPS: Goal #3<br />

Step 1: Research Hull House (IL, FL) and other states' statutory initiatives developed to maintain siblings<br />

together, including legislation, literature, participant interviews, and national resources. Research summary<br />

report prepared.<br />

Step 2: Evaluate Step 1 models <strong>for</strong> pilot in Georgia and prepare <strong>for</strong> implementation. 5 th Quarter: Per Annual<br />

Evaluation/Renegotiations the State requested to change 'Evaluation' terminology to 'Review'. Reason: Evaluate<br />

implies a much more <strong>for</strong>mal investigation and analysis than was intended or completed. Georgia simply wanted<br />

to review what other states or organizations had tried <strong>for</strong> consideration <strong>of</strong> replicating a similar program in<br />

Georgia.<br />

Step 3: Enhanced utilization <strong>of</strong> new Relative Caregiver Subsidy (RCS) through training and awareness.<br />

Step 4: Implement targeted recruitment <strong>of</strong> foster homes willing to accept sibling groups. Include importance <strong>of</strong><br />
