5th Quarter Report: The additional 125 positions were received in SFY '04 (July 2003). Effective February 2004, 65 State <strong>of</strong>fice<br />

staff were deployed to specifically identified county <strong>of</strong>fices needing immediate attention with case management and supervisory<br />

functions. These were temporary 90-day reassignments. <strong>Plan</strong>s are in place to restructure State level DFCS being made to<br />

permanently reduce the State Office work<strong>for</strong>ce and return these positions to county and regional <strong>of</strong>fices.<br />

BARRIERS TO ACHIEVEMENT:<br />

1 st Quarter Report: The impending change in the state's administration as well as fiscal constraints may <strong>of</strong>fer challenges <strong>for</strong> getting<br />

this request approved.<br />

2 nd Quarter Report: The recent change in the state's fiscal resources may <strong>of</strong>fer challenges <strong>for</strong> getting this request approved, however,<br />

the Governor recommended the addition <strong>of</strong> 125 casework positions.<br />

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:<br />

1 st Quarter Report: Goal 2, Steps 1 - 4: A workgroup is being <strong>for</strong>med to address changes needed to improve the Supervisory Review<br />

Form and implementation process. The committee is aware <strong>of</strong> PIP requirements to place siblings together, if possible or feasible. They<br />

expect to revise the Supervisory Review Form to document ef<strong>for</strong>ts to place siblings together.<br />

2 nd Quarter Report - No report <strong>for</strong> this quarter.<br />

3 rd Quarter Report: A work group, consisting <strong>of</strong> social services pr<strong>of</strong>essionals, is reviewing the Supervisory Review Form to assure it<br />

properly measures specified outcomes <strong>for</strong> service delivery. This team <strong>of</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>essionals provides a broad array <strong>of</strong> expertise in child<br />
