parents. Evaluation: Spot checks will be done at r<strong>an</strong>dom by<br />
calling foster parents <strong>an</strong>d making sure they have a m<strong>an</strong>ual.<br />

Achieved. M<strong>an</strong>ual revisions are complete <strong>an</strong>d have been made available to foster parents on disk.<br />
8 th Quarter Report: Achieved: Per ACF 7 th quarter request regarding spot checks to make sure foster parents have m<strong>an</strong>uals: It is the<br />
state's responsibility to ensure that our resource families have the services knowledge <strong>an</strong>d tools to do the most effective job <strong>of</strong><br />
parenting our children. To this end, every foster parent has access to <strong>an</strong> updated m<strong>an</strong>ual; i.e., either <strong>an</strong> online version or hard copy. In<br />
<strong>an</strong> evaluation <strong>of</strong> the effectiveness <strong>of</strong> respite care for Item 12, which involved 20 foster parents, all but one stated that they had a<br />
m<strong>an</strong>ual. Further, in a survey <strong>of</strong> five Resource Development staff, all confirmed that in practice, all foster parents were given m<strong>an</strong>uals<br />
at the last MAPP/IMPACT meeting (4) or at the time approval (1).<br />
8 th Quarter DOCUMENTATION: (1) Five email responses regarding how <strong>an</strong>d when foster parents receive the Foster Parent<br />
