ACCOMPLISHMENTS:<br />

Data from these counties <strong>of</strong> the number <strong>of</strong> both CPS <strong>an</strong>d<br />

non-CPS families living in the hub communities <strong>an</strong>d<br />

receiving CPS <strong>an</strong>d/or ICA services. Data is <strong>an</strong>ticipated to<br />

indicate effectiveness <strong>of</strong> CPPC intervention by measuring<br />

whether a new CPS case is opened within a year <strong>of</strong> closure<br />

<strong>of</strong> CPS/ICA services on either similar allegations or on<br />

different allegations.<br />

1 st Quarter Report: The framework for ch<strong>an</strong>ge, based on the core strategies for community partnership, is in place with a Steering<br />

Team, Design <strong>an</strong>d Implementation Team <strong>an</strong>d designated Work Teams meeting <strong>an</strong>d working to fully implement the core strategies in<br />

the nine CPPC counties.<br />

2 nd Quarter Report: All nine counties have a community hub coordinator in place <strong>an</strong>d involved in identifying community resources<br />

<strong>an</strong>d needs. Coordinators are responsible for additional resource development, within the identified hub communities, that will meet<br />

needs <strong>of</strong> ICA families. Hub coordinators are participating with CPPC community support teams <strong>an</strong>d continue to build their<br />

community partnership groups.<br />

Funding for the hubs was identified through Safe <strong>an</strong>d Stable Families. The nine pilot counties received from $20,000 -$30,000 each.<br />

The Family Connection Partnership eMagazine Connected is a source <strong>of</strong> information about funding opportunities, training<br />

opportunities (e.g. Family Connection Partnership Fin<strong>an</strong>ce Learning Institutes are scheduled throughout the state in April -- May<br />

2003) <strong>an</strong>d other topics import<strong>an</strong>t to CPPC communities. It is available to CPPC hub coordinators, community partners <strong>an</strong>d others<br />

involved with developing community partnerships. The E&R section researched what information c<strong>an</strong> be pulled from its current<br />

review guides <strong>an</strong>d how to include as m<strong>an</strong>y families <strong>an</strong>d service issues as possible in the guide. Review guides have been updated.<br />

3 rd Quarter Report: All nine CPPC counties were trained (3-day training), between October 2002 <strong>an</strong>d J<strong>an</strong>uary 2003. This training<br />

was through The Child Welfare <strong>an</strong>d Policy Group. A Family Connection trainer beg<strong>an</strong> in April 2003 providing additional training for<br />

hub coordinators, community partners <strong>an</strong>d DFCS staff.<br />

DOCUMENTATION PROVIDED 3 RD Quarter:<br />

Funding for exp<strong>an</strong>sion <strong>of</strong> this <strong>program</strong> to additional counties is unlikely for the next fiscal year. Because counties have just<br />
